Deadline: Oct. 1, 2018
Award: $5,000
Scholarship Overview: Open to high school seniors who will enroll in college in the spring semester or current college students who are U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents of the United States. Applicant must submit an original commercial about car insurance driving habits, good or bad.

2. Students with Heart Scholarship
Deadline: Oct. 1, 2018
Award: Up to $6,000
Scholarship Overview: Open to students entering college this year and current college students who suffer from any Cardiac disease or deformity.

3. Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award
Deadline: Oct. 2, 2018
Award: Up to $10,000
Scholarship Overview: Open to classical instrumentalists, vocalists, and composers between the ages of 8 and 18 who have not yet entered college during the 2018-2018 academic year. Applicants must have strong musical ability and be willing to perform on an NPR show.

4. YoungArts Program
Deadline: Oct. 12, 2018
Award: Up to $10,000
Scholarship Overview: Open to young artists in grades 10-12 or between ages 15-18 with talent in cinematic arts, dance, design arts, jazz, music, photography, theater, visual arts, voice, and writing. There is a $35 application fee, but fee waivers are available to qualified applicants.

5. Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway
Deadline: Mid Oct, 2018 
Award: Up to $100,000
Scholarship Overview: Open to U.S. legal residents who are 18-24 years of age. Applicant must submit how they will change the world in 350 characters or less. Once the applicant receives 50 votes, they will be eligible to submit a video. Individuals can also nominate a student.

6. Horatio Alger Association Scholarship Programs 
Deadline: Oct. 25, 2018
Award: Up to $25,000
Scholarship Overview: Open to high school seniors in the United States who demonstrate critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income).

7. CashCourse "My Story" Essay Contest
Deadline: Oct. 31, 2018
Award: Up to $2,000
Scholarship Overview: Open to students at least 18 years of age enrolled in a not-for-profit college or university. Students must write an essay response to the topic “Describe a financial mistake or stumble you have had. What did you learn from it? How has it shaped your approach to your money today?”

Award: Up to $20,000
Scholarship Overview:  Open to current high school seniors attending school in the United States. Program recognizes students for their capacity to lead and service, and their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities.

9. Steel Intern Scholarships

Award: Up to $12,000
Scholarship Overview: Open to students pursuing an engineering/engineering technology related minor. Applicant must provide an essay and letters of recommendation detailing their interest in the steel industry.

10. Voice of Democracy Scholarship

Award: Up to $30,000
Scholarship Overview: Open to students in grades 9-12 who are enrolled in a high school or home study program in the United States. Applicants must write and provide a recorded audio reading of an essay related to the topic “Why my Vote Matters”
