Exceptional Test Prep
The Best SAT & ACT Classes in Metro Detroit
program faqs
Who can enroll in the program?
Any student from any location who can be physically present in the program can enroll!
What is the program’s length and how long is one class?
During the school year, the 33-hour program is run once a week on Saturdays for 11 weeks. Each class session is 3 hours long. Each program is designed to end within 1-2 weeks of an SAT retake date so students can be prepared up until they actually retake the exam!
How much does the class cost?
The class costs $250. This includes 27 hours of instruction, a pre and post test, timed assessments, our signature book, and office hours with the instructor 30 minutes before or after class. Payment via a credit or debit card via our online process is the only accepted method of payment.
How is the class structured and what is covered?
The class is structured into 3 sections: Reading, Writing, and Math. To mirror the structure of the exam, ½ of the class is focused on Reading/Writing and the remaining ½ is focused on Math. The class covers both fundamentals of core concepts (like actively reading or algebra, for example) as well as critical test taking strategies for each section and even most question types. The teacher also uses the pre-test results to cater the class’ lessons to students’ needs based on the most highly missed questions from the exam.
How many students are in a class?
There are typically up to 30 students in a class.

RESULTS AND IMPACT
What is the average growth for students in the class?
For students who attend all classes and do all homework, the average growth is 80-100 points on the SAT and 2-4 points on the ACT for each class they take with us. Students who take multiple classes see this growth per program they take with us.
Can this program help my student if s/he is planning to take the ACT?
Even though the SAT and ACT vary slightly in their core content, the overall approach and skill set is the same. Students who take our SAT class and then take an official ACT see a 2-4 increase on average.
