2. The Ben Carlson Foundation Scholarship

Award: $10,000
Scholarship Overview: Open to high school seniors with a minimum 3.5 GPA and Undergraduate students with a 3.0 GPA. Applicants that have participated in a junior lifeguard program or held employment as an ocean lifeguard will be given additional preference.

Scholarship Overview: Open to current high school juniors and seniors. Students will compete at the regional level for a chance to advance to the national level. Applicants must analyze and present a topic from the viewpoint of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
