1. Patsy Takemoto Mink Education Foundation Support Awards
Deadline: Aug. 1
Award:: Up to $5,000
Scholarship Overview:  Open to low-income women that are at least 17 years old with children. Applicant must be pursuing a vocational degree/certificate, associate’s degree, first bachelor’s degree, or a professional/master’s/doctoral degree

2. Pursuit's Inaugural Scholarship Competition
Deadline: Aug. 1
Award: $1,000
Scholarship Overview:  Open to incoming Freshmen, Sophomores, or Juniors enrolled in a university or community college. Applicants must produce a video or write an essay in response to one of three topics.

3. Rocky Wood Nonfiction Award
Deadline: Aug. 1
Award: Varies
Scholarship Overview:  Open to students interested in researching and writing nonfiction relating to horror and dark fantasy literature. Applicant must outline how the scholarship would be used and how such use would benefit the field of non-fiction writing regarding horror and dark fantasy literature.

4. USRA Scholarships

Award: Up to $4,000
Scholarship Overview:  Open to full-time undergraduate students attending a four-year accredited college or university that offers courses leading to a degree in science or engineering.

5. Best Foot Forward 2018 Scholarship
Deadline: Aug. 15
Award: $1,000
Scholarship Overview:  Open to any high school senior who is on track to graduate, currently holds a minimum 3.0 GPA, and plans pursue a post-secondary degree after graduation. Applicants must complete a an essay detailing how attending college will help them achieve their future goals.

 6. Masergy STEM Scholarship Program
Deadline: Aug. 17
Award: Up to $5,000
Scholarship Overview:  Open to students enrolled or accepted to an accredited college or university in the United States who will have a declared major field of study in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).

7. 2nd Chance Scholarship
Deadline: Aug. 31
Award: $1,000
Scholarship Overview:  Open to legal residents of the USA with a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Winners are randomly selected by computer-generated drawing from among valid entries received at the conclusion of the contest period.

8. CHASA Scholarship for Childhood Stroke Survivors
Deadline: Aug. 31
Award: $3,000
Scholarship Overview:  Open to students less than 25 years of age that were affected by either childhood hemiplegia or hemiparesis due to any cause or by pediatric stroke before the age of 18. Currently diagnosed as having hemiplegia or hemiparesis or pediatric stroke.

9. Make Me Laugh Scholarship

Award: $1,500
Scholarship Overview:  Open to students at least 13 years of age that will enroll in a college or university before 2023. Applicants will describe an incident in their life, funny or embarrassing (fact or fiction), and make aimed at making the judges laugh! (250 words or less)

10. Rand Marketing Web Design Scholarship

Award: $1,000
Scholarship Overview:  Open to high school seniors and any student enrolled in a degree program by Dec. 11, 2018 at any accredited U.S. college, university and art or fashion institute. Applicant must submit an essay and an original sketch they created of any inspired design.
