But before you go further, consider the fact that WSU is a nationally recognized research institution, one of the nation's largest public universities, and has Michigan's most diverse student body.
Did I mention they give away $6,000 per year - that's a total of $24,000 over four years - to Detroit residents who achieve a 3.0 GPA and 21 ACT score? That's right. If you are a Detroit resident who will graduate from a high school in Detroit, you are eligible for the Detroit Urban Scholars scholarship and the Irvin D. Reid Honors College. All it takes are 2 letters of recommendation and a personal statement of 200 words.
